Turkish Sergeant killed during operation in Kurdistan Region

Turkey’s Defense Minister, Hulusi Akar, announced via Twitter on Thursday the Turkish military was continuing scanning activities.
Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) said on yesterday they killed a senior member of the PKK in Sulaimani province.
The PKK has fought a decades-long insurgency against the Turkish government for Kurdish rights and autonomy and maintains a network of bases in the Kurdistan Region.
