Iraqi PM-designate to visit Erbil in near future

Iraq's PM-designate Mohammed Allawi will visit the Kurdistan Region soon, Kurdistan Regional Government's (KRG) representative in Baghdad revealed on Saturday.
Allawi will pay a visit to the Kurdistan Region in the next two weeks to discuss with the Kurdish top officials the formation of a new government in Baghdad, Faris Isa, KRG's representative said in a statement, as cited by Kurdistan 24.
The Kurdistan Region has already reaffirmed its support to any future Iraqi government as long as it would respect the agreements between Erbil and Baghdad.
Allawi, the former minister of communications, was nominated by President Barham Salih last week.
