Kawa Abdulqadir made the comment to NRT on September 20.
Abdulqadir reiterated NGM's position that the parliament should be dissolved in November as NGM MPs would boycott parliamentary work following its term on November 6.
The Kurdistan Region's parliamentary elections were set to take place in October, however, political disputes between two main political parties have prevented the polls from taking place on time.
He also called for the dissolution of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) following that date.
Abdulqadir said that based on Iraqi law and the constitution, which the Kurdistan parliament follows, the parliament term has to end four years after its formation.
He said that the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) are supporting extending the current parliamentary term while the NGM is against it.
On September 1, Abdulqadir said that the elections must be held as soon as possible and insisted it was impossible to even consider extending the current term of parliament.
