Nasir said the State of Law Coalition will attempt to hold a session of parliament on September 20.
She stated it was necessary for the Iraqi parliament to resume sessions in order to hold early elections.
According to Nasif, efforts from international observers, such as the United Nations, were aimed at Iraq holding parliamentary elections.
Iraq’s Federal Supreme Court ruled on Wednesday it cannot dissolve parliament, after the Sadrist Movement and its leader, Muqtada al-Sadr, demanded its dissolution, backed up by mass protest from the movement’s followers.
Supporters of the Sadrist Movement stormed parliament at the end of July.
Staff at the Iraqi parliament returned to work on Sunday and Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi suggested an agenda session on national dialogue, according to Agence France Presse.
