Iran says exported some 3BN dollars worth of goods through border crossing with Kurdistan Region in nine month

Head of the customs authority in Iran’s 1,122,853 tons of goods sent were through the border crossing, which connects with Sulaimani governorate in the Kurdistan Region, Kurdistan province Bakhtiar Rahmanipour told state-run IRNA news agency.
Travel restrictions put in place to address the coronavirus pandemic resulted in a 95 percent drop in non-trade traffic during the last three quarters of the year, Rahmanipour said.
Iraq and the Kurdistan Region remain major markets for Iranian-manufactured goods and foreign products that are resold by Iranian importers as Iran is suffering from US sanctions.
