Three Iraqi soldiers killed in ISIS attack in Diyala

Three Iraqi soldiers were killed in an attack by Islamic State (ISIS) militants on Tuesday, December 28, between the plains of al-Azim and Hamrin, Diyala police said.
Nihad Mohammed, a spokesperson from Diyala police, said three Iraqi soldiers also were injured in the attack and three ISIS militants were killed.
He also said a military operation against ISIS in the area was underway.
On Monday, ISIS militants attacked police in the Salahadin governorate where three members of police were killed and four others wounded.
