Iraq and Kurdistan region service – Al-Sudani in his massage described Anfal as one of the most bitter crimes against the Kurdish people and emphasized the need to remember this crime and strengthen national unity.   

According to Kurdpress, today, Tuseday, April 14, 2026, Muhammad Al- Sudani published a massage on his official account on the social network X on the occasion of the 38th anniversary of the Anfal crimes.

The Iraqi Prime Minister emphasized that more than three decades ago, civilian in cities and villages faced the worst types of killing and torture that went beyond all human values, traditions, and laws.

Al- Sudani also emphasized the preservation of democratic achievements, saying: "While we keep the memory of those tragedies alive, today we are proud of the unity of the country and the brotherhood among all ethnicities and nationalities under the shadow democratic and federal system, a system in which all Iraqi live with dignity, freedom, and without discrimination."
