In a statement, the KRG said: “We condemn the Israeli attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran and the use of military force to resolve conflicts. These developments further complicate the pursuit of peace and stability in the region and pose a threat to regional and international security and stability.”

The statement emphasized that military confrontations would exacerbate the crisis.

“At this critical moment, it is imperative for the international community to respond swiftly and urgently and prevent any further escalation of the tensions,” it added.

Th Israeli regime launched an attack early Friday, using 200 fighter jets to target Iran's nuclear program and long-range missile capabilities. 

The strikes martyred senior Iranian military officials as well as nuclear scientists.
