According to a report by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a car bomb explosion resulted in the killing of three people in the Kurdish Syrian town of Afrin, which is under the control of the Turkish forces and Ankara-backed Syrian rebels.

Meanwhile, five individuals were killed, including three police officers among whom was the head of Baza’a police office, after a bomb attached to a vehicle exploded on the outskirts of al-Bab, northeastern Aleppo, SOHR added.

Elsewhere in Tsil, western countryside of Dara, unidentified gunmen shot a former opposition leader, who struck a reconciliation deal with the regime.

“The Syrian Observatory also documented the killing of 31 Ankara-backed factions in landmines explosions after an infiltration attempt into the village of Ma’alaq near Ain Issa, where [the Syrian Democratic Forces] SDF ambushed them by planting landmines before withdrawing from the village,” the Britain-based monitoring group concluded.
