French FM Le Drian to visit Erbil and Baghdad

French foreign minister Jean-Yves Le Drian will visit Baghdad on Thursday, Iraqi federal Ministry of Foreign Relations said in a statement on Wednesday, July 15.

According to the statement, Iraqi Minister of Foreign Relations Fuad Hussein will receive his counterpart and hold a joint press conference.

Le Drian is also expected to visit Erbil and meet with officials in the Kurdistan Region during the trip.

He last visited Iraq and the Kurdistan Region in October 2019 and before that in January 2019.
