Iraq seeks to improve security ties with Iran, Russia and Syria

“The security cooperation between Syria, Iran, Russia, and Iraq is still in progress,” Joint Operations spokesperson Major General Tahsin al-Khafaji said during an interview with the state-owned Iraq Media Network, adding that it was an important vehicle to exchange intelligence, NRT reported.
“The Islamic State’s militants have been weakened and they no longer have the ability to disturb the security state, all because of constant operations that are being conducted by the security forces,” he added.
